thyssenkrupp has won a second order from the Turkish packaging producer KÖKSAN for a new PET production plant. The plant will be built in Gaziantep, Turkey, next to an existing line erected by thyssenkrupp in 2013. It will double the site's production capacity to 432,000 tons per year.

Chinese chemical company Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical to build new plant for the sustainable production of propylene oxide on the basis of HPPO technology from thyssenkrupp and Evonik. thyssenkrupp to deliver process design and key components.

First plant based on patented PLAneo® technology starts production in China. Process lowers CO2 emissions and reduces use of fossil raw materials. Production capacities for bioplastics expected to grow.

Hungarian oil and gas company MOL awards EPC contract for new polyol complex in Tiszaújváros to thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions. Annual production capacity will be 200,000 tons. Operations scheduled to start in second half of 2021.
